Hearth is built with families in mind. Our native calendar allows children who don’t have email accounts to have a place to start interacting with a digital calendar. Hearth calendars will evolve over time as we build additional features and automations geared toward the needs of families. We’ve also made it easy to get going with Hearth quickly by syncing your existing calendar tools. This allows for an easy transition from your current systems into the Hearth ecosystem.

Onboarding
During onboarding, you will need to activate your Family Membership. This can be done by using the email you used when purchasing your Hearth, or the activation code sent to the purchase email on shipping. The email you use to onboard your family will be associated with the first adult member of the Hearth Family. We recommend that you onboard with a personal email that you are sure you’ll always have access to.
Profiles
Choosing the correct profile for each of your family members’ needs will allow you to make the most of your Hearth experience. We currently have three types of profiles. If you have kids, consider how you'd like them to participate in Hearth. This will help you select the right type of kids profile to get started. Please read this link carefully for additional information on each type of profile.
Syncing External Calendars
Depending on how you use your existing calendars (Google Calendar, Apple Calendar, Outlook Calendar), we’ve outlined the syncing possibilities with Hearth in the chart below. You can also check out the individual links below for a step-by-step recommendation on how to get the most out of Hearth with each type of calendar, as well as our Hearth Calendar 101 video:
You can sync any of these calendars to your Hearth and reassign them to any family member. You can also export the Hearth Calendar URL to subscribe to this calendar from any external calendar tool.
