Think of Hearth Helper as your in-app supercharger for your family’s calendar, lists, and meal plan schedule that saves you hours a week by uploading images, complicated schedules, and quick notes.
Send Hearth Helper any meal you’d like added to your meal plan, saved lists on your phone, or event information you’d like added to your Hearth calendar. You’ll be notified once your requests are ready for your review and approval.
Important: Lists, To-dos, Events, and Meals must be approved to appear. Anything that is not approved will remain on the approval screen and will not be added to your calendar, list, or meal plan.
What should I upload to Hearth Helper?
Hearth Helper is great for one-off meals (or generating meal plans), recurring events, one-off events, or any type of paper calendars. Simply send the meal/event or picture of events, and specify which profile(s) everything is for. For example:
- Printed calendars (school calendars, sports schedules. For example, "Add the fall school calendar items in yellow for Carter.")
- Quick things on your mind (for example, "Add soccer practice at 4 pm Tuesday, January 24th for Sean")
- Meals for the week (for example, “Add Apples for Snack on Thursday with a note to include them in everyone's lunch bags”)
- Generate Meal Plans within minutes. (For example, “Plan dinner for my family this week; please avoid dairy”)
- A photo of the lunch schedule for the week, specifying who the meal plan is for
- Photos, screenshots, or handwritten lists (paper or digital)
- Quick items you'd like to be added to the To-do or custom List (For example, "Add shirts, pants, and sunglasses to the vacation List" OR "Add grocery shopping to my To-do List)
- Paper invitations (wedding invites, baby showers, etc.)
- Digital E-vites to upcoming events
- Doctors appointments
- Screenshots of calendar documents with list or event information (i.e., PDFs)

What should I NOT send to Hearth Helper?
- The ability to add Routines is something we may explore, but it is not a feature at this time.
- Hearth Helper cannot edit or delete events, lists, To-dos, or meals once they have been approved. Once the events are ready for review and approval, you will be able to make any modifications to the entry from the review screen or from the event when it has been added to your calendar.
- Hearth Helper generates new meal plans based on your request, but it won’t remember past meal plan preferences unless you share them again.
- Hearth Helper cannot read calendars in formats other than in-body text and images. Links, files such as Word Documents, and Google Sheets are not currently compatible with Hearth Helper.
- Simple formats are best - AI isn’t perfect, therefore Hearth Helper cannot guarantee the ability to interpret nonstandard calendar formats.
- Support requests - Hearth Helper uses AI technology to save you hours of inputting info. If you need any help with your Hearth, reach out to us here.
