What is Display Lock?

The Display Lock is an optional privacy setting that prevents interaction with your family’s Display content until your passcode is entered.

How to create a passcode:

1. Open the Hearth Companion app
2. Tap the menu at the top-left
3. Tap Display Settings
4. Under Display Lock, enter a 4-digit passcode
5. Tap Save

Note: The Passcode can be set by any adult profile in your family, to be used by all members of the family you verbally share the code with. By default, all adult members of the Hearth Family can reveal the active passcode in the Device Settings of the app when needed, or create a new code. Kid profiles cannot view or change lock code settings in the app.

How to change the passcode:

1. Open the Hearth Companion app
2. Tap the menu at the top-left
3. Tap Display Settings
4. Under Display Lock, tap Reset, then enter your new 4-digit code
5. Tap Save

How to enable Lock Screen on Display:

1. Tap the settings icon at the top-right of the Display
2. Tap Lock
3. Enter your 4-digit code
4. Tap Lock

Note: To enable your lock screen, your passcode has to be created in the Hearth app first!

Note: Privacy Mode and Sleep Mode can still be enabled while the Lock Screen is on.

How to Unlock your Display:

1. Tap the Display screen
2. Enter the 4-digit code
3. Tap Unlock

Note: If the code is entered incorrectly 5 times, the Display will temporarily lock for two minutes before allowing another attempt. If you forget your PIN, you can easily reset it in the Hearth Companion app.
